We're not a franchise and we're not buying through a UK distributor. We import direct, we pay cash, and we carry no debt — so there's no financing cost baked into what you pay.
How we buy
No middleman between the kiln and the rack
Most tile retailers buy from a UK distributor, who bought from an importer, who bought from the factory. Each step adds a margin and a lead time. We go straight to the factories in Spain, India and Turkey and bring the containers in ourselves.
That does two things. It takes a layer of cost out, which is where the price difference comes from. And it means we can carry ranges nobody else round here has, because we're not limited to whatever a distributor decided to stock for the UK market.
We buy with our own cash rather than on finance, which is unusual in this trade. It means we can move on a container when the price is right, and it means we're not passing an interest bill on to you.

The showroom
Brooksmouth Mills, Brighouse
A former mill unit off Clifton Road, with room to display tiles at full size rather than on sample cards, bathrooms as finished rooms, and 20mm porcelain outside where you can see it in daylight. Free parking at the door.
